January 31, 2022… Heartbreaking. Some days animal rescue just shatters your heart into a million little pieces. Skye came into SCARS care with her 7 babies just 5 days ago. Today one of them, Terry, became suddenly desperately ill. Our foster home sought immediate veterinary care for the poor wee pup, first to an emergency clinic then on to Guardian specialists. The poor pup went down hill so quickly and was suffering. Our team made the only humane decision, let the wee one find its wings. Only 5 days in care, but loved by its foster home, our little boy Terry left our world and the pain he was suffering. May his spirit run free tonight. We don’t know what caused the crisis in this pup, but will do further testing. Please keep the rest of the litter in your thoughts. We will hope for the best for them. Please also think of the foster family who courageously stepped up to give these animals their second chance. We know they are grieving tonight.
