January 13… Meet Marvin! Marvin is a very large dog who had to undergo two TPLO surgeries in the past few months. You might ask, what is TPLO Surgery? “The TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery has become one of the most popular orthopedic surgeries performed on dogs who have torn their cranial cruciate ligament. (ACL)” The two surgeries exceeded over $3,400! We completed one leg about 10 weeks ago and let him complete a full recovery. Then we completed the second leg last Monday Monday with our team at the Westlock Veterinary Center. He is currently on 6-8 weeks of crate rest, but this love bug would thrive in almost any home. He’s super social when not on crate rest and great with dogs, cats and kids! Stay tuned for when we post him as available for adoption.
