This new intake was found as a stray near a walking trail. This poor girl was in extreme pain with an obviously infected paw. Swollen, hot to the touch and a wound with all sorts of nasty oozy discharge. We aren’t sure the cause of the trauma , just that this sweet one needs our help. The SCARS network of volunteers swung into action to get her into emergency care. A call to our driving team and she was soon on her way to after hours care at the Westlock Veterinary Center. We appreciate our volunteers so much. We will update you soon about the cat’s condition. In the meantime, please consider, volunteering with SCARS.
