Hi, I am Harley. I came into care during a SCARS Spay-Neuter-Return event in my community in early May 2019. I was badly injured due to being hit by a car a few days earlier. I was so happy to see them that I crawled right into the crate. Off to the vet for me. It turned out I had some severe nerve damage and a big gash in one of my legs as well as some very bad bruising in my chest.

My leg would need to be amputated, but I was quite weak and my chest and lungs needed to heal so that I would be healthy enough for surgery. For the last couple of weeks I have been in my foster home getting lots of love and rest. Thank you so much to Terry and Fur Angels Blessing Blanketeers for sending my lovely blanket and my duck. The blanket is so cozy and I love to carry my duck around. I’m feeling much better and foster mom says I have turned into a big goof!

I’m off for surgery now! Foster mom says I will do fine with three legs so I figure I’ve got this!  Please keep me in your thoughts. Foster mom will update once I’ve been home for a couple of days!  Love, Harley!
