Another day, another adventure! On August 15, SCARS received a call about a mom who had given birth in a den. Without hesitation our wonderful volunteers set off to bring this new family into a warm dry place. They may have got a bit dirty on this rescue, but all seven pups along with their mom are now safe in our care. But the story doesn’t end there. On her way home, one of our rescuers was driving down the highway when she spotted something out of the corner of her eye. Something told her to turn around and sure enough there it was … a tiny little orange kitten on the side of the road. Once safely in the car they saw that the kitten was very thin and its tail was very very badly injured. Fate was on this kitten’s side. He will now receive all the medical care he needs.
