‘Twas just days before Christmas and the outlook was grim,
Despite SCARS’ best efforts, there was no room to bring us in.
Disappointing and sad faces all around,
We resigned ourselves to spending Christmas at the pound.
We had all been good pups, it wasn’t our fault,
There was nothing to do but not give up.
When what to our wondering eyes did appear,
A miniature sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer (actually, it was our dear friend from bylaw with his truck, but he seemed like Santa to us!)
He said, “Cheer up pups, I just got the call, your Christmas miracle is coming for one and for all!”
With a wink of his eye he loaded us up, smiling and saying, “Let’s go pups, we’ve got a long drive but today you’re in luck!”
Through snow and some ice we made the trip down, to find a safe place in a new little town.
Adoptions had happened, foster space opened up.
So three stray pups were no longer alone.
Indeed, they were family in a new foster home.
Say hello to Otis, Tigger and Wiley as they start their new lives.
Miracles happen everyday at SCARS, thank you for being a part of all our animal’s stories.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
