Hello, my name is Karen. Happily, my mom and I find ourselves in the care of SCARS and we are ready for a second chance! Can you guess which of us is which? I'm the tuxie. I have a lot of potential to be a lovely cat but haven't been raised with a lot of socialization. So, I am still a little skittish and don't enjoy being held so far. Nevertheless, my foster mom continues to persevere with teaching me how to cuddle and enjoy lap time and she continues to see glimpses of sweetness as I love to chat with her and approach her. I have only just come into the foster home so time will be the only true way to know my real personality once I have relaxed. I have a resident cat and dog in my foster home, and I don't bother them at all. I don't love them, but I don't bother them either. I would love to be adopted with my mom as I have spent my entire 8-month life with her but would probably be ok on my own too. I use the litterbox very well; I am independent and if you give me patience I will someday settle in to make a great friend.
