Hey there - my name is Alan! I came into SCARS care as one of many dogs wandering on the side of a road. I had been hit by a car possibly more than once, and had severe damage to one of my hind legs. It was determined that amputation was the best choice for me, so I am now the newest member of the tripod club. I am healing well and learning to adapt to my new life. I am looking forward to getting stronger, and learning how to play and run. I know with a bit of time, I will be so fast, you won't even notice that I have 3 legs. I am a very sweet friendly boy, and LOVE people. I like being beside them and getting scratches and cuddles. I do well with the resident dog in my foster home, although I am very partial to having my people all to myself. If it is only me, then I get ALL of the cuddles, which is just the way I like it. My foster family feels that me being the only dog in my forever home is the best choice for me. I haven't met any cats or any kids in my foster home, so not sure how I would be with either of them. I do think that I might love kids though, as they would be just like the other humans that I do so well with. I do very well at night or in the house, and am not destructive or high energy. I'm a very well behaved boy! I am house-trained and do really well on short walks while I build up my stamina. As a tripod, it will be important that my forever family keeps me at a healthy weight, but other than that, there aren't any other issues with owning a tripod. I can't wait to meet you if you think I would fit in well with your family! Please apply to adopt me soon!
