Hi! I'm Ember. It may be hard to get to know me because I am very shy and not too sure about humans. But my foster family adores me and are being very patient while I figure things out. I came into care with only one puppy, Ash. So, it's possible that I had a few run ins with some not so nice people. Despite all that, I will now take food out of my foster family's hands, occasionally will give them a nudge with my nose or lie my head in their lap while to remind them I am there for treats. I am gentle when I take toys or food from my people and have never nipped or growled at anyone. Still, petting me is off limits and I will back off or run away when someone approaches too quickly. So, I would do best in a quiet home with someone who has lots of patience and experience with training and socializing dogs. No loud noises or quick movements for me. No sir! When I am outside playing with my puppy, I am the happiest. My foster mom says I am one of the fastest dogs she has seen! So, I would do best in a home with a big back yard where I could get some of my very high energy worked out. Because I am so nervous, I have not been on a leash or gone for a walk yet. But that will come in time as I gain trust. If you are willing to put in some time and effort, I would be your forever friend. Please consider being my furever family.
