Hi! My name is Dottie. At first look, I have lots of scars on my face and bits missing out of my ears. In my short life, I was met with a lot of hardships. Despite this, I love people. The minute my foster family let me out of my kennel, I immediately purred and rubbed up on them. I was so grateful to be in a nice, warm home! The first few days upon arriving to my foster home, they could tell I had been through quite the ordeal. I hardly could keep my eyes open as I was so tired. It wasn't until the next day that they saw what my eyes looked like fully open. I am also very skinny. I need lots of love to get me back to a healthy weight. I spend most of my days in my foster family's bedroom. I like to stay in a nice, cozy, and quiet environment. I have tried venturing a bit, but not for long and not very far. I quickly come back to the safe space of the bedroom and patiently wait for my people to come back so I can cuddle them. I do ok with other cats as long as they give me my space. I don't mind the other resident dogs, but I do make it vocal to keep their distance. I would do best in a quiet and patient home. Someone who would take the time to make me become a more confident kitty. I would do well with a family with older children who understand my boundaries, or a couple or student who is looking for a quiet yet trusting companion. If it sounds like I may the kitty for you - hit the adopt me button!
