Hi my name is Ginny. I have been in SCARS foster care for 8 weeks, getting much needed help for my injured leg. I haven't been very adventurous as I need to stay quiet so I don't hurt my leg any more. Turns out I needed surgery and I'm not so happy staying in a kennel now, but I still need to stay quiet while my leg heals. I get to walk around the house under supervision and I'm not limping anymore. I already have a few favourite spots, like the window bed where I can see the birds. I am getting along fine with one of the resident cats-she's a senior. I am slowly getting used to the resident dog, but am still wary; luckily he isn't interested in me. The other resident cat is too big and playful for me, but we have been talking through doors and getting used to seeing each other through screens. I'll be getting my stitches out soon, but I will still need to stay in the kennel for a bit. My Foster Mom and Dad will help my leg get stronger with physiotherapy exercises and keep a close eye on my progress until my next check up with my friends at VCA Guardian. As soon as I am all healed up and hopefully can run and jump again, I'll be ready for adoption!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
What does 'Manageable' mean? This animal can be integrated into a home however will need SPECIFIC supports in place for this to be successful.
