Hi there! I'm Silky. I came into care with my sister Milky. A wonderful kind lady noticed during her walks, a lot of us cats in an alley. Roll forward a few weeks, and we are rescued! Milky is adjusting fine, slowly but surely. Me, Im still scared of being touched. My foster momma thinks some humans were very mean to us early in our life. Milky and I are family and we really had each others backs in that alley. We get along so well! Although Milky wanders the house and plays with the resident cats, i pretty much keep to the large cat room, I'm not overly fond of the big dogs and don't want to test if they are fond of me. I really enjoy laying in the tall cat tree sunning and watching the birds fly around. Milky comes in to play with me lots and so do the resident cats. I'd love to stay with Milky. We're looking for someone who wants a big DIY project... milky will be shy for a while but will be a lap cat soon. Me, i just might be a Milky cat for a long time. I think if there were no dogs and i could wander the house to make sure its safe, ill eventually come closer to humans. In the early weeks, I'd be more of a support to Milky who will be a support for you. I know that special person is out there. The one who loves cats and will take the time to help me trust and in the meantime, i'd be a great playmate for Milky. Lets make 2021 our year!

Please note: If other cats/dogs in your home are not spayed/neutered, we may deny your application. SCARS exists due to lack of spaying/neutering and it is our goal to end this cycle. If there is a documented medical reason for your animal to not be spayed/neutered, we will work with you.
What does 'Manageable' mean? This animal can be integrated into a home however will need SPECIFIC supports in place for this to be successful.
