- NO condo homes - Must have a fenced yard. - Must have another FEMALE dog for a companion. Confident female preferred. (If there is another female and male in the home that would be ok too.) - I am not able to be left alone 8 hours, need house training and skills. - Older kids only. Hi, my name is Coal! I am a mixed breed 4 months old puppy. I was rescued along with my brothers and sisters from a place where I was sheltered from a lot of very normal everyday things like the outdoors, trees, cars, other animals, and even other people. As such, every day is full of new experiences for me! I like to think of myself as a protector as I will bark at things that are new or scary in case they try to hurt me or my foster family! But once I get to know what/who the new thing is, I can relax and be myself again. I absolutely love snuggles and being close to my foster mom, always staying by her side in case she needs me. I also love playing with my brother, although I'm a much gentler pup and don't like to use my teeth on my foster family when playing. I'm a big fan of naps, food, and the nighttime zoomies! I also recently learned what toys are and they are so much fun! Especially the kind that squeak or can be ripped up as it makes me feel like a fierce puppy! I am very sweet and affectionate, and am told that I'm quite smart! I've learned how to sit and walk fairly well on a leash already, and I've only been with my foster family for just over a week! My foster family has also been working very hard on my manners and being exposed to new things. I'm a bit jumpy and somewhat fearful of men and young children, so it will take time for me to learn that these people are not that scary! I have so much to learn, and with patience and lots of love, I will be your best friend and protector forever!
