Good Morning Wonderful People of SCARS! My Name is Rez (formerly Carl/Buster). SCARS found me in a ditch about 7 years ago and I was the only survivor of my litter. A nice lady from Fort Saskatchewan fostered me until I found and rescued my Dad! SCARS said I was part Beagle because of my ears lol. My Mom and Dad think I am part Lab/ Husky/Akita/ Chow, in other words, an Alberta Special. I’m a big boy now, just over 100 lbs. I love to play in the snow and being outside. I’m a pretty good guard dog too, if I say so myself! No strangers get in my yard without me knowing it. I’m not a big fan of anything that flies though. Birds, planes, helicopters make me squirrelly. When I was first rescued it was just me, my Dad and my hooman brother Stefan. Now, it’s me, Dad, Mom, my little Yorkie brother Sammy and my Beagle brother Jake. About 3 years ago I had to have both my back knees replaced. Dr. Jackson and the staff of Westlock Veterinary were really good to me. I’m all good now but I don’t like to run as much as I did. My Mom says I’m such a wonderful dog! So loving and caring. I absolutely LOVE kids! Mom and Dad call me the Nanna Dog when the Grandchildren come to visit. I make sure they don’t crawl on the stairs or go where they aren’t supposed to. I just wanted you to know that I’m doing really well and I’m super happy with my little family. Also, I wanted the nice foster lady from Ft. Saskatchewan to know how I’m doing. I don’t remember her name because I was so little then so can you tell her I’m OK? Fostering is a very important job and without her I wouldn’t be where I am today.
